# Silicon > Silicon is the data partner for high-growth startups (category: data team as a service). There are two ways to work with Silicon. Through the data partnership, Silicon builds and maintains a company's data foundation, with its AI analytics platform included. Companies with their own data team can use the Silicon platform on its own. Anyone in the company can ask the platform a question in plain English and see the data and definitions behind each answer. Made by Verge Labs Private Limited in Bengaluru, India (founded July 2026). Serves companies in the United States. Key facts: - Two offerings: the data partnership (for companies without a data team) and the Silicon platform (for companies with one) - Data stays in the customer's warehouse; customer data is never used to train AI models - SOC 2 and HIPAA audits have not been completed yet - Contact: talk to Sujay SN, the founder (30-minute call: https://cal.com/sujaysn/speak-to-founder) or help@meetsilicon.com · Docs: https://docs.meetsilicon.com ## Data partnership - [Data partnership](https://meetsilicon.com/services/): for high-growth startups without a data team. Silicon builds and maintains the company's data foundation and runs it on the Silicon platform, which is included. - Typical first ten weeks: discovery in weeks 1–2 ends with a written plan and quote. In weeks 3–8 Silicon connects the company's tools, brings the data into one place and defines each key metric with the person who owns it, who signs it off. Dashboards for each team and the AI analyst in Slack go live around week 10. Companies with more tools take longer. - What the company has after launch: its tools connected and syncing into one warehouse, with checks each time new data arrives; 10–20 key metrics, each with a plain-language definition; a dashboard for each team, scheduled reports to Slack or email, and the AI analyst in Slack. - After launch: Silicon connects new tools, handles dashboard and report requests from any team in a shared Slack channel, updates metric definitions with their owners, fixes problems when a change in the data affects a dashboard, and reviews key numbers with the leadership team. - Who does the work: Silicon is the single point of contact. Specialist data engineers work on some of the build under Silicon's contract and standards. The platform checks each change and alerts Silicon. - The customer's part: introduce the people who run each team, grant access to the tools being connected, sign off each metric definition, send requests in Slack and join the regular reviews. - Plans: ongoing partnership (monthly or annual, platform included), foundation build (fixed scope, can continue as a partnership), projects (fixed scope, 2–4 weeks). Each is quoted after discovery; prices are not published. - Not a fit: companies whose data team already maintains their data (the platform alone fits better), companies that want contractors placed inside their team, and companies whose data still fits in one spreadsheet. - When the company hires its own data team, that team works from the same metric definitions and models using Silicon's CLI, YAML metrics and dbt integration. ## Silicon platform - [Silicon platform](https://meetsilicon.com/platform/): the AI analytics platform, for companies with their own data team. It connects to the warehouse with read-only access and reads the dbt project. - Metrics are defined once in dbt or Silicon YAML and reviewed in pull requests. Answers, dashboards, scheduled reports and alerts all use those definitions. - AI analyst: questions in plain English in Slack or the app. Each answer includes a chart, the metric it used and the SQL behind it. - Each pull request is checked against the dashboards and metrics it could break, and Silicon can draft the fix as a pull request. - Metrics catalog: browse every metric with its description, category and usage, explore it over time, and map how metrics drive each other with metric trees (beta). - [Autopilot](https://meetsilicon.com/product/autopilot/) (beta, Pro and Enterprise): a scheduled agent that fixes broken charts, flags stale and slow content, and drafts charts for questions people keep asking. It only soft-deletes, logs every action with its reason, and can run read-only. - Silicon MCP server: query Silicon's governed metrics from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients. - Write back to dbt: build a metric in Silicon and open a pull request to the dbt project. - [Public roadmap](https://meetsilicon.com/roadmap/): what is in the backlog, being built, in beta and shipped. - Warehouses: BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, Postgres, Trino, ClickHouse, Athena, DuckDB - Git hosts: GitHub (all plans); GitLab, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket (Pro and Enterprise) - Pricing: Team $1,499/month, Pro $2,399/month, Enterprise on request; unlimited users on every plan. ## Core pages - [Silicon | The Data Partner for High-Growth Startups](https://meetsilicon.com/): Silicon partners with high-growth startups to build and maintain their data foundation, with an AI analytics platform anyone in the company can ask. - [About Silicon: The Team Behind Your Numbers](https://meetsilicon.com/about/): Silicon is built by Verge Labs Private Limited in Bangalore, founded in July 2026 by Sujay SN.
